// How to Rock Spring's Floral Trend... with edge

Posted by Laura Henderson on

Spring is here and while we are still wearing coats (and sometimes gloves), it is time to break out those floral tops and ruffled dresses and get ready. This season is all about bohemian inspired florals with feminine details of covered buttons, ruffled sleeves and delicate necklines. How can you wear that and not look like you are posing for Easter photos at JC Penney’s? You pair it with something with a little edge.

At this point in the season, you still need a jacket and even later you will need one in the morning and the evening. Try pairing a uber feminine dress with a dark bomber or moto jacket. Like our Moto Jacket or Denim Bomber. This instantly adds an edge to your look that takes it from church to happy hour.

Love that ruffled floral top with bell sleeves and ruffles at the neck? But feel like you could never pull it off? Surprise! You can! Let’s pair that ruffled blouse with some straight leg or our Girlfriend jeans. The more distressed the better. Adding the distressed denim will dress down the blouse and will add the edge you are looking for.

Not sure what to wear footwear wise? Pair your floral dress with a pair of white sneaks. The sneaks bring your dress down and make the outfit a casual wear anywhere look. And a little unexpected. Rocking the blouse and distressed jeans look? Pair it with some sexy sandals for a happy hour look or some flat sandals for a day time look. Be careful of wearing the sneakers, distressed denim and feminine top though. Having two super casual pieces may make your outfit looks disjointed. Too casual on the bottom and too dressy on top.

Not ready to rock a full floral blouse or dress? Want to keep your basic tee and jeans look going while adding in some floral trend? Let’s add some great statement floral earrings. Our flower earrings, like our Penny Earrings, are an easy add to your wardrobe and will allow you to dip your toe into that feminine trend.

You always want to give your wardrobe a little edge. The juniper girl always has something unexpected in her style. Something that makes her stand out from the rest of the crowd. And she loves herself for it.
